Are Cold Spark Machines Safe?

Cold spark machines are a safe way to wow and impress your guests — a much safer option than the alternatives!

Fireworks and other pyrotechnic displays are exciting and beautiful, but they pose a serious safety and fire hazard in most situations. But what do you do when you want an impressive pyrotechnic-like display to dazzle the crowds at your event that won’t put everyone in attendance at risk? Thankfully, there is an option that will keep everybody safe: cold spark machines.

Are Cold Spark Machines Safer Than Fireworks and Other Pyrotechnic Displays?

Yes! A cold spark machine is much safer than fireworks and other pyrotechnic displays. In fact, cold spark machines pose virtually no risk at all to the operator or anyone standing nearby. These machines produce sparks that are completely safe, 100% cold to the touch, and are non-flammable.

Traditional production-grade pyrotechnic machines can burn hotter than 1,200 degrees Fahrenheit. Some fireworks, including the sparklers we hand our children to play with every 4th of July, can burn at a temperature of 2,000 degrees Fahrenheit. While these shows and displays are exciting and beautiful to look at, they pose an obvious safety risk to those nearby, are challenging to control, and are often banned by regional and local ordinances. Not to mention, fireworks and other pyrotechnic displays are loud and can spit out carcinogenic smoke, dangerous debris, and other harmful particles.

However, cold spark systems only produce sparks that are 100% safe to use indoors and outdoors. They are easy to program and control; you can adjust the height, size, and timing of the exciting and beautiful pyrotechnic-like effects they offer.

More On the Safety of Cold Spark Machines

Safety should always be your highest priority at the gatherings you host. Whether it be a concert, wedding reception, or other events, the safety of your guests should always be at the top of your mind. This is why fireworks and other pyrotechnic displays are not ideal — they are hard to control, and accidents can happen. However, as mentioned earlier, a cold spark machine does not catch fire and can be used in any environment or setting. These machines run around 62° Fahrenheit, making them safe enough to touch your skin or paper without the possibility of burning or catching on fire. But because safety is always on the brain, there is a precautionary “just in case of an emergency” shutoff feature.
